Microsoft Services for Non-Profit Seeking Organizations
Is your organization a Non profit (NFP) or Charitable Organization?
If so, you could qualify for complimentary or heavily discounted Microsoft products and services.
Microsoft is committed to supporting non profits by offering discounted and donated solutions, making top-tier cloud technology accessible and affordable for organizations that are dedicated to bringing a positive change in society.
- Is your organization eligible?
Familiarize yourself with the three eligibility requirements to begin the process. Organizations must be a:
- Non profit or non-governmental organization with recognized legal status in their respective country
- Public library that provides general library services without charge to all residents of a given community, district or region; or
- Public museum, including public or private institutions, open to the public, that conserve and exhibit tangible objects for purposes of cultural preservation, education, or aesthetic enjoyment.
Eligible organizations for the Microsoft non profit program must operate as not-for-profit entities and have a mission focused on benefiting the local community. This mission may involve activities such as aiding the disadvantaged, supporting education, enhancing social well-being, preserving culture or the environment, advocating for human rights, or fostering civil society.
In addition to the previous criteria, Microsoft values and respects individual and cultural differences and they cannot join the Microsoft non profit program if they discriminate in any aspect of their operations based on various factors including race, gender, religion, disability, or other protected characteristics.
Any organization that does not meet the criteria outlined above for eligible non profit missions or organizations are ineligible for Microsoft non profit programs.
2. Who should register?
The person completing the non profit registration must be an employee or strategic volunteer of the non profit.
If you are a third-party IT provider or other entity working for a non profit, you may not complete registration on its behalf.
- Who can use the license?
Non profit discounts and grants are permitted for specific employees and volunteers. Non profit beneficiaries, donors, and members (such as members of a church, club, or sports team) are not eligible for non profit offers.
License restrictions
Non profit licenses or subscriptions from Microsoft cannot be shared or sold to others within the same group. If a group includes both non profit and for-profit entities, only eligible non profits can receive non profit offers. Groups with centrally managed IT systems are eligible for only one grant account.
